How lucky we are to have such amazing backdrops here on our doorstep in San Diego. Many a-bride-and-groom have chosen to make Southern California the location for their ‘destination wedding’ and here we are enjoying it so close to home.

Being a local San Diego wedding photographer it is so nice to work close to home. Being outside in nature is definitely my favorite place to shoot your most treasured wedding photos. Some of my favorite San Diego wedding venues to photograph are The Crossings at Carlsbad mixing a little green, with ocean views and beautiful buildings. If being a little closer to the water is more your thing then Tom Ham’s Lighthouse is sure to satisfy.
If a field full of grapes is more your style then Temecula, our very own vineyard corridor, has many beautiful cellars to choose from. Leoness Cellars along with Wilson Creek to name just two. There are so many beautiful wineries out that way, just too many to list here.
One vineyard a little closer to home which still ticks all the boxes is Bernardo Winery. This 130 year old fully operational vineyard is a step back in time for all the romantic feels in a beautiful rustic setting.
And finally, I do have to mention Mt Woodson Castle because honestly, who doesn’t want to say they got married in a castle!
